An exciting opportunity has become available for a business administrative assistant to joins us at our busy Nantwich offices. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is keen to become a valued member of our Hibberts team and who has a desire to develop their career with us.

This role is best suited to someone who seeks a varied daily task list and someone who enjoys being organised!  They will communicate well and value working as part of a team and supporting multiple essential business functions, but they will also enjoy working independently and efficiently to keep the offices running smoothly.

The successful candidate will be reliable and proactive, they will have bags of enthusiasm for keeping things tidy and organised and they will have an eye for detail and ensuring accuracy.

Previous experience of working in an administrative role would be desirable, however training will be provided to the successful candidate in in all areas of general office administration.

Key Responsibilities:-

  • Administrational support for two office sites in Nantwich (a small walk between them);
  • Post room duties such as photocopying, post and fax distribution, processing and franking outgoing mail, putting away deliveries;
  • Taking post to the post office;
  • Archivist duties such as archiving files, file delivery and retrieval requests and maintaining and tracking of files;
  • Assistance with moving boxes into storage areas;
  • Reception duties such as meeting and greeting visitors, photocopying ID documents, answering the telephone and use of the switchboards to transfer calls.;
  • Assistance with stationery stock checks;
  • Assisting with client enquiries;
  • Occasional typing support;
  • Occasional file opening support, to include processing ID verification checks.

Hours & Salary

  • Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 36.25 hours
  • Holidays: 33 days inclusive of bank holidays
  • Annual Salary: £15,000 – £20,000 dependent on experience and in line with National Minimum Wage from April 2023
  • Location: 25 Barker Street, Nantwich & 1 Pillory Street, Nantwich
  • Start date: February 2024

Essential Requirements

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills and telephone manner;
  • Excellent organisational skills;
  • Confidence with using Computers and proficient in Microsoft Office i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel;
  • Knowledge of customer services principles and practices;
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures;
  • Personable, with the ability to work both as part of a team, as well as independently;
  • Proactive with a good sense of initiative.
