Michael has an outstanding academic record. He read Law at Pembroke College, Oxford. Having graduated in 1974 he was admitted Master of Arts in 1978. He went on to succeed in the Law Society’s Qualifying Examination part 2 in February 1979 with a Distinction in Accounts and was admitted as a Solicitor in 1979.
He is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP)
Area of Expertise
Michael has has substantial experience in many aspects of law as an associate, partner and consultant working with legal practices in Shropshire, Cheshire and the surrounding areas.
With an extensive background specialising in Wills, Probate and Estates, he also had a fundemental role working with charities in their development and administration, in particular the reorganisation of a significant number of ancient charities by Charity Commision Scheme to create on merged charity and the winding up of other obsolete charities.
Some of Michael’s key achievements have been:
- Successfully managing the administration of a large estate resulting into the establishment of an animal-cum-sanctuary hospital by one of the UK’s leading animal welfare charities
- Providing ancillary service to the Private Client & Trust department to deal with the partition and re-arrangement of titles to Trsust and other properties
- Successful resgistering complex unregistered titles to land, where title deeds have been lost.
- Providing specialist legal services to an Anglican Diocese
With the wealth of experience, Michael now concentrates on the more complex conveyancing trasnactions, in particular those relating to trust property as well as continuing his involvement in charity related work and the registration of unregistered titles and the reconstruction of those titles where deeds have been lost.

Michael is a keen theatre, opera and ballet enthusiast, and walker as a member of ODL as well as being a member of Rotary Club of Manchester Trailblazers.
Michael also speaks 2 addtional languages, German and French.
