Child Law

Hibberts are specialist family law solicitors offering legal support for families dealing with child welfare issues.

We have a specialist child care legal services department set up to provide independent and quality advice, assistance and representation for parents or family members in circumstances where Social Services become involved with the welfare of a child.

We can represent a client’s interests at all stages in Court proceedings issued by a Local Authority in respect of a child. This includes applications for emergency protection orders, care or supervision orders and placement orders.

Child care legal specialists

If you are a parent or a person with parental responsibility for a child who is the subject of proceedings issued by a Local Authority for a care or supervision order or an emergency protection order, you are entitled to free public funding (Legal Aid) for legal representation.
