Hibberts Solicitors Are Taking Part in Wills Week in Aid of St Luke’s Hospice

Wills for Donation Week in Aid of St Luke's Hospice

Hibberts Solicitors are taking part in Wills Week in aid of St Luke’s Hospice in Winsford. The team will be waiving their will writing fee during the week of Monday 19th – Friday 23rd October 2020 in return for their clients making a suggested minimum donation of £100 to the hospice charity.

Many people put off writing a will or think they are too young, but especially given these challenging times it is more important than ever to ensure that you have a current will in place that reflects your most recent situation. Delaying writing a will means that your loved ones may not be able to honour your wishes, especially if you die ‘intestate’ i.e. without a will in place. Without a will to guide them, even something like your family organising the funeral can become more difficult. By having your preferred person name as an executor of your will, they can deal with your finances and be involved in ensuring your estate is distributed according to your wishes. Your will can cover everything including who would look after your pets as well as distribute your personal possessions to friends and family.

Gemma Ambrose, partner specialising in wills, probate and trust and tax planning comments “Hibberts Solicitors are taking part in wills week once again, and we’re thrilled to be supporting St Luke’s Hospice by waiving our will writing fee. We’ve been a part of Wills Week for a number of years and it gives us an opportunity to not only support a local charity, but also ensure that people have an up to date will, especially in these difficult times. Having a will not only allows you to ensure your loved ones are provided for financially but also the opportunity to benefit those who the law does not recognise under the intestacy rules, such as step-children, charities and friends. Knowing that your will is taken care of can give you peace of mind, no matter your age or health.”

As a firm Hibberts Solicitors support a number of local charities, including Wales Air Ambulance and Kidsbank Chester through the recent Cheshire and North Wales Junior Lawyer Division challenge.
